For it to be effective, you can also keep a light source near the solution.
  • Baking soda : Another effective natural remedy for fleas and ticks is vacuuming your house with baking soda. Vacuuming is extremely helpful in removing fleas from furniture and carpets. Additionally, if you spread some baking soda on these items and then brush them with a hard brush before vacuuming, this remedy is all the more effective.
  • Herbal flea spray : A herbal flea spray will protect your pets from flea and tick infestations. The spray should comprise of non-hazardous substances as it has to be sprayed around your pet. You can mix 450ml of lemon juice, 1.9 liters of water, 4.2 liters of vinegar, and 300ml of spirit hazel in a bottle to make this remedy for the pests. Before using this spray, vacuum the area properly and empty the waste in a dustbin.
  • Rosemary : Rosemary is an organic natural remedy for ticks and fleas. For this remedy, you need to make a powder that can be used to prevent flea infestations on your pets. You can make this powder by mixing and grinding wormwood, rue, peppermint, fennel, and rosemary, and use it on your furniture and carpets as a tick and flea repellant.
  • Diatomaceous earth : Diatomaceous earth is a powder made from the remains of diatoms and fossilized algae and is one of the highly effective natural remedies for getting rid of fleas and ticks. Sprinkle the powder to get a thin layer in areas where you see that the fleas are the most active. Leave this thin layer of the powder for about 2 to 3 days and then vacuum the area properly. You must choose food-grade diatomaceous earth so that it does not irritate your throat and eyes and is also safe for use around your pet.
